PROMINENT VALLEY DEMOCRATIC CLUBS ENDORSE

ANDREW LACHMAN FOR STATE ASSEMBLY

San Fernando Valley, CA – The Kennedy Democrats of the San Fernando Valley, formerly the Sherman Oaks Democratic Club, and the Democratic Advocates for Disability Issues today endorsed long-time Democratic Party activist Andrew Lachman and his bid for the California State Assembly’s new 46^th District.

“I am proud to receive the support of our local Democratic community,” said Andrew Lachman. “I have a strong record of standing up for our shared Democratic values of responsive government, protecting civil liberties, and fighting for the less fortunate among us. Now more than ever we must speak up for those who have been hit the hardest by Sacramento’s budget cuts, which deny them access to vital services and restrict their right to contribute to our society with the dignity they deserve.”

The Kennedy Democrats of the San Fernando Valley is the oldest Democratic club in the Valley, with a record of progressive values spanning more than 50 years. The Democratic Advocates for Disability Issues are the only Democratic club in Los Angeles County that is solely devoted to electing and informing local officials of ongoing challenges facing the disabled community.

The California State Assembly’s new 46^th District is located in the San Fernando Valley and includes all or part of the communities of Lake Balboa, North Hills, Panorama City, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Valley Village, Valley Glen, and Van Nuys.

Andrew Lachman served as the Consultant to the Joint Committee on the Arts for the California Legislature and is currently an Adjunct Professor in Business Law and Policy at Woodbury University in Burbank. He is a member of the Democratic National Committee and served as President o the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats and Democrats for Israel.  He also serves as Senior Legal Counsel for a technology consulting firm in Woodland Hills, CA.
