San Fernando Valley, CA – Andrew Lachman’s campaign for Assembly continued to pick up momentum and broad support as several LGBT leaders announced their endorsement of Andrew Lachman for Assembly for the 46th Assembly District. These endorsements, despite the fact that there are two other LGBT candidates in the race, underlines the broad basis of support for Andrew Lachman’s record of making a difference to bring about effective change.
“Andrew is a strong straight ally who has not been afraid to speak out on our issues, including marriage equality, HIV prevention and treatment funding, opposing discrimination and bullying, and standing up for equal treatment under the law, said Dean Hansell, who served as President of Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Los Angeles and is a current member of the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center Board.
“As a former Vice President of Stonewall Democratic Club and LGBT community liaison for the State Senator representing Silver Lake and the Hollywood Hills, I am deeply honored to receive the trust of so many prominent LGBT leaders,” said Lachman. “I’m proud to stand with these respected leaders to make sure that all voices are heard and that California continues its commitment to quality health care, justice and equality for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”
